Snakey

The RoboBoa we covered over on OhGizmo back in May is now for sale. Created by WowWee Robotics (the guys who make the RoboQuad and RoboSapien), the RoboBoa sports a total of 41 functions in a snakey body with 4 motorized sections, a bunch of LEDs, light sensors, a stereo input, and some sort of laser cannon (although details on that particular feature are sadly lacking). Some of the functions include:

-Explore Mode

RoboBoa’s inquisitive nature turns into Explore Mode. He won’t just scan the room, he will also rove around, interacting with everything in his path.

-Party Mode
Your very own Disco Marquee Light that moves to music or noise. With the build-in audio jack, he can boogie to your own portable music player.

-Super Shooter
RoboBoa’s cannon, laser and machine gun not only act as alarms, but also shoot out secret codes to trigger other WowWee Robots.

RoboBoa

In addition to the preset functions, RoboBoa can remember up to 40 movements, which it will repeat when you poke it. And for what it’s worth, RoboBoa also works as an alarm clock and nightlight. So it’s, like, practical and stuff. $220.
