Where No iRobot Has Gone Before: The Gutter

iRobot

That’s right, iRobot has found something else to clean around your house. Engadget got a hold of some images that iRobot filed with the FCC and it looks pretty nifty. They’re calling it “Looj”. I’m guessing it’s a play on words, referring to the Olympic sport where humans careen down a clean gutter type pipe, sans the poop.

The design is interesting and it looks like it would certainly get your gutters robotically clean, but I don’t quite understand the need for the typical appliance “handle”. It has two treads, a remote control, and a strange looking propeller for clearing out the drains.

No official word from iRobot on this one yet, so we are going to have to wait to find out when you can buy one.

It’s a dirty job, but some bot had to do it.
