Kuka CalligraphyBot Puts Monk Job Security At Risk
Writing by Evan Ackerman on Thursday, 25 of October , 2007 at 1:24 am

This industrial robot, called Kuka, is busily writing out the full version of the Martin Luther bible by hand. Or I guess you’d say by robot arm, but it’s actually doing very precise calligraphy with a pen, putting my chicken scratch to shame. I think it’s pretty cool to see an industrial robot doing something so delicate and (okay, okay) beautiful. There are a few more photos available on here on flikr.

While I am not sure if this is a practical development (is nonhuman hand written any different that a high quality print job?) it is an interesting example of the degree of dexterity capable with today’s robots. It might inspire other applications that have not been thought of yet.

Your story attribution is incorrect. It was actually “The Nine Billion Names of God” by ARTHUR C. CLARKE, not Asimov. He did write a somewhat similar story, “Reason” that appeared in the collection, “I, Robot”. Which one were you thinking of? The 1st features a computer calculating all the possible names of Deity, while the latter features a semi-sentient robot on a space station turning into a latter-day Descarte - “I cogitate, therefore I exist”. When the 2 humans on board fail to unconvince QT (the robot’s designation) that he is not necessarily the only true servant of the sole machine intelligence that runs the Universe, they go back to Earth, disgruntled. It’s a story about circular reasoning.

Proposal for agriculture Robo
I am working on technology development last three years. I have designed some new method control the crops insect without use any type the poison.
It is true use the modern technology, hybrid seeds in agriculture fields, crops out put have been increased at large scale but the other hand difference type on insect attack on the field and eat it. Present time to control agro insect uses the poison as result this many type of toxic inter in food chain which is cause of creating many dangers type of decease.
To resolve the poison problem and control the bugs on crops I have designed some new method for cotton and Paddy crops. I claim if my discovery use in agriculture then it will control the pest at starting stage and this system will be helpful to reduce the poison uses and increase the organic production.
However I have done small level naturally successful practical to control it. But shortage of source I cannot complete it. I claim if I get source I can give a positive result in short time to control the agriculture pest by organic method. I thing it is main need of time for growing the poison less food.
At last I request if any institution provides source I can make (Agro insect Mele BUG) pest control system at little cost.
