Daisy Would Chop Your Face Off If She Could

Writing by Evan Ackerman on Thursday, 3 of April , 2008 at 1:15 am

Just kidding… Daisy, in fact, is pretty calm, even if she does follow people with a giant spinning fiberglass propeller. This art installation in Terminal 3 of the Changi Airport in Singapore consists of an industrial robotic arm with cameras in the base, allowing it to face and track people in a, um, friendly manner. According to designer Christian Moeller, Daisy is designed to “bring a smile to your face and a moment of comic relief to your trip.” Comical or not, this is exactly the sort of robot that you can picture in some sci-fi movie going totally berserk, tearing itself up out of the floor and mowing down bushels of screaming people.
