Solar Breeze Robotic Pool Skimmer

You know why I don’t have a pool? It’s certainly not because I don’t have a large enough backyard. Or money. Or the desire to be cold and wet. No, it’s because keeping it clean would be really, really annoying. The Solar Breeze helps you out by automatically skimming the inevitable and unending gunk off the water all by itself. This, apparently, is trickier than it seems, and the Solar Breeze has special paddles to gently lift debris into interior bins without causing it to sink. The paddles also push it around the pool, focusing on the downwind edges where stuff is likely to accumulate. The Solar Breeze is powered completely by the sun, and also includes a chemical dispenser to help keep the water clean (although it only cleans the surface). It’s not going to give your pool as comprehensive of a cleaning as an iRobot Verro, but it is only $500 and you don’t have to plug it in to anything.

The Solar-Breeze is a great pool cleaning tool because it eliminates the need for bottom cleaners. All bacteria in a pool resides in the first 6in of the water and the debris on your pool floats for atleast 2 hours before becoming saturated. The Solar-Breeze targets these areas by collecting the debris before it can sink and killing 99% of all the residing bacteria with its’ even dispersion of chlorine. The Solar-Breeze essentially does a better job than the other pool cleaning products because it solves the problem behind pool cleaning rather than just attacking the sympton. It always keeps your pool swim ready, does not require any external power source, cuts back on pool pump run time, and pays for itself within the first year all while being the only green solar-powered pool device.
