it would be amazing to get that perfection of facial & body gesture & appearence for droids, i can tell I would like to see it for real some day!, it would be awesome!, but still think is hard to replace a real flesh woman as natural is;
…the velvety soft texture of skin, reactions,& expressions of a real woman & what it feels like & there is perfection in inperfection like inteligent self inproovement & haven’t yet seen a material that feals and reacts like skin does…
___by now this could be a hoax, though :)

njeh.. I think this is indeed a hoax.. a few very well trained pr-men and actors. they can fool you with smart remarks and blow you away with “scientific” talk about statistics and general believes. njeh, I didn’t buy it. they may have a legit webpage and stunning pr-campaign..(how far people go to convince you… great setup, nice try) don’t get me wrong.. in the future fembots or droids might become as life like as such. (and maybe a necessity..) That would be an improvement for humankind. you can have a “lifelike date” don’t underestimate the mental capacity of the human brain to addapt to something as close to real! ( yah.. a little catch mother nature created to convince us to believe what we want. Maybe some sort of survival method? Instinct?)
your date will be free of deseases, friendly, no sexual warfair, your droid will be young forever, while you age and get needy (he/she/it won’t run off for a younger model, a richer specimen, ask for alimony. She will be exclusively for you. bye lonelyness. instead of talking to your geraniums, you’ll have a life-like conversation partner, who won’t act all cold war on you when not have obtained that Gucci bag.. But this situation is still future fantasy-maybe closer than we hope- but there is still a long way to go, dealing with taboo’s. but eventually this may become a realistic part of our lives, like cell phones, i-pods, solar panels, internet.. former dreams that came true and most of us couldn’t dream of living without..

OK!First…she or ‘it’ looks like a real person. Robots can’t be that agile and move so swiftly. Maybe in the future, but not today. And second…not to be gross, but who in the right mind would want to get frisky with a robot..let alone sleep with one! ewww! even if there was one in my house i’d be freaked out. But thats just me…dudes, get a real girl. Its not that hard.

They’ve got a proper company website, a proper video interview with the founders and you had seen the product too. I believe this thing myself.

Here’s how i differentiate if its a robot anot.
-No matter how flexible/smooth a robot movement can be, there’s still some uniformity speed throughout its movements if you notice.

-Next is the fingers, the easiest way to identify a robot. No matter how human like the robot movement is, the fingers of the robot will always looked like its “locked” or “stuck”.

I used to look at the mouth too to identify if thats a robot, but this model is different. Previous humanoid robot models just create simple actuations to open and close the mouth. This model has created the mouth muscles that is so closely resembles that of a human. It can speak a letter “O” with its mouth shaped to what a normal human is speaking. That very impressive!

Given the current level of AI research, this would be an astronomical jump in technical achievement. Therefore, I believe this when I see it. Until then, color me skeptical at best.

I was almost convinced. After watching the video it is quite obvious that the robot is a human actor. The hand movements are far too fluid for the current stage of robotics and the facial movements are not uncanny whatsoever. Maybe soon we will see a robot like this, but for now they will be portrayed by actors.
