Kuka Robots Serve Ice Cream, Very Slowly

People can create robots designed to rescue the injured and train doctors and sort muffins and stuff, but robots that serve ice cream is technological progress that I can stuff my face full of. These Kuka industrial robots were programmed by 26 students over 5 weeks to serve ice cream (with toppings!) to attendees at Ohio Northern University’s homecoming festivities:

Good project. But as far as practicality is concerned, two minutes is an eternity in the fast food world when it’s exclusively a machine. The guys at DQ can rest easy. Their jobs are safe for now!

There are some interesting points in this article but I don’t know if I see all of them middle to heart. There may be some validity but I’ll take maintain an opinion till I look into it further. Good article , thanks and we want more! Added to FeedBurner as well.
