Happy Cows Are Groomed By Robots

Writing by Evan Ackerman on Wednesday, 25 of March , 2009 at 12:34 am

Cows

You already know that happy cows are milked by robots and herded like robots, but some lucky cows also get groomed by robots. And from the look of things, it feels really, really good:

The robot brushes rotate when the cow pushes against them, and each robot provides enough 24 hour scratching power to satisfy 50-60 cows. Why the special treatment? Quite simply, happy cows produce more milk, so dairy farmers are interested in any technology that relaxes them.

How wrong is it for me to want one of these for personal use?

Your site was tweeted by a friend the other day. Decided I’d give it a look. Best decision ever.
