Although I wouldn't recommend Wire Glue as a soldering replacement, there are some occasions where you simply can't use solder. For example on some glass/silicon substrate photovoltaic cells only the back contact can be soldered to; it simply won't stick to the front (I've got the fried solar bits to prove it). Wire Glue however does the trick here with no effort, just glue the contact wire to the front of the cell, spray with some clear lacquer to protect it and you're done.
