This Just In: Real Eagles Don’t Like Robot Eagles

Alright, I know it’s a bit of a stretch calling this R/C airplane a robot, but cut me some slack, ’cause the video is awesome. It looks like it’s actually more of an R/C bird of some kind, as you can see from the faux-feathered wings, so I can only assume that it was sent up with a camera to deliberately taunt that poor eagle, who has plenty of problems of her own, since she’s getting dive bombed herself at the same time.

Of the various reactions by animals to robots that we’ve seen, hostility seems to be kinda high up there on the list, with a few exceptions. ‘Course, golden eagles tend to be more than a little bit hostile by nature, as I can personally attest to, having tried to help give one a medical exam. And this also just in: they like medical exams just about as much as they like robot birds.
