Maker Faire 2009: Piperoids

Piperoid

Even if you’re entirely incapable of constructing robots out of metal and wires and circuit boards, it’s still possible to build yourself a cool looking robot. Piperoids are robot figures that are made out of paper. They come in preprinted paper tube-things, and are absurdly simple to put together: all you need are scissors and a minimal amount of hand-eye coordination to cut out the pieces and stick them into each other.

Monday Bot With Stuff

Writing by Evan Ackerman on Monday, 1 of June , 2009 at 4:20 am

Bot With Stuff

Yep, it happened again. A big weekend event to look forward to distracted me from Friday’s Bot with Stuff. And that’s a shame, ’cause the bot is taking out its frustration on that poor Nerf herder. Ah well, he probably deserved it, since in addition to being scruffy-looking, he’s probably suck-up and half-witted, too.

You can catch the other two Bots With Stuff from last week over on The Shoebox Blog, including a robot with shingles and a robot with a bad motivator.
