Robot Kiss Is Probably Not The First

Writing by Evan Ackerman on Tuesday, 25 of August , 2009 at 1:21 am

Apparently, the first official robot kiss (between androids Thomas and Janet) took place on December 27, 2008, during a robot performance of Phantom of the Opera in Taiwan. My guess, though, is that there have been plenty of occasions where poor lonely roboticists with a couple spare humanoids, vivid imaginations, and a strong doses of desperation have programmed their own private robot kissing scenes. And let’s just not extrapolate any more on that.

Slightly weirder footage of the scene from the play itself, after the jump.

not as great as the kiss bit from Bjork’s “all is full of love” video.
