His animatronics can be quite good, but are still clearly situated in the uncanny valley, with no way to escape it in the foreseeable future. Even if robots had human-level intelligence, his animatronics still couldn't pass as humans. As such, while his work can be commended, I think it is doomed to never achieve its intended goal. Unless, of course, he starts cloning human tissue ala Terminator. I’m not really sure about his work.
