The International Robot Exhibition (IREX) is going on in Tokyo right now, and the Tokyo office of BotJunkie would be all over it, if only we had a Tokyo office. Or, you know, an actual office anywhere. In the mean time, here’s a bunch of pics from Pink Tentacle and Times Online:

“Data Glove,” a waldo from Shadow Robot Company

Motoman plays with LEGOs LEGO bricks
More, after the jump.

A prototype interactive robot from Figla

Autonomous floor cleaning robot from Fuji Heavy Industries (Subaru)

Neko-Tencho, a cat robot developed by RT, and its internal skeleton dancing with each other

Robockle demonstrates collision avoidance technology from CMC Technology Development Company

Kawada Industries HIRO research and development upper body

Korean building guide robot

TOPIO, a ping pong playing robot by TOSY

Yeah, I’m definitely hoping that somebody closer to the action will come through with vids.

Yes videos please! That ping pong robot looks awesome. It’s nice to see that they made a very good effort to make it look like a human.

OMG the first picture looks like femmebot from Austin Power. Does it come packed with machine gun “jubblies” like in the movie?
