Horizontal Bar Robot Sticks Somersault

Writing by Evan Ackerman on Monday, 18 of January , 2010 at 5:08 am

Um, holy cow. That horizontal bar robot that nearly killed itself on a dismount last December has all of a sudden learned how to pull what looks to be a full release front pike somersault. Yeah, so it forgot to hold on afterward, but that’s trivial.

Damn. I’m seriously impressed.

it kind of looks like the claws failed, cause you can see them close, they just don’t hold…

I think maybe they closed too early, and with no bar in their grasp they closed so much that they still, sort of, worked.

Holy wah, it caught the bar!!! Screw the dismount. I’m WAY more impressed with the sumersaults and bar retrival!
