The Problem With Dumb Sexbots

There’s a point at which it’s better to have a totally dumb sexbot that knows it’s dumb, rather than a totally dumb sexbot that thinks it can talk to humans. Observe this conversation, which is a phishing attempt by a chat program sexbot (ernestineholom553@hotmail.com):

Ugh. My ex-boss used to brag about how his brother was in the whole sexbot business, and how great a business idea it all was. He seemed really proud about it, regardless of the fact that we were a kids company.
I’m glad I got fired from that loony bin.

ROTFL! I can’t believe these people can’t imbue their bots with enough conversational intelligence to at least TRY to appear human. Wait, maybe I can. :-)
Seriously, I have been getting a slew of invites on Windows Live to add “people” to my network. Of course my first reaction is to look at their profile. No profile, no add. Even with a profile, I’m gonna want some proof of human intelligence.

I’ve had this phising attempt as well (from two different emailadresses), and the bot said all the exact same things, except for the ‘pink panties’-thingy, which was indeed a reaction to you saying ‘pink’ and also the response ‘whats a bot’. But furthermore, not much intelligence.
