Robotic Tail Has Mind Of Its Own
Writing by Evan Ackerman on Tuesday, 6 of April , 2010 at 12:27 am
This is, no kidding, the second strap-on robotic tail that we’ve had the pleasure to post about. Unlike the mood tail, the SiliFulin (I don’t think it’s an April Fool’s) doesn’t care how you feel, but it does pay attention to your body movements and will move itself accordingly. With enough practice, small movements of your hips can control the tail, making it look natural. Just what you always wanted, right?

That is a bizarre move towards furrydom…

If only it didn’t maximize your posterior. And what is the point of learning to make the movement look natural compared to your movement if you have to move unnaturally to do it? The way she was walking was just so abnormal.

Interesting. It’s obviously an art piece right now. But in a number of years this could realistically be an augmentation item for people needing or wanting a hip replacement. Of course in an extreme scenario like that, you need to consider the body rejecting the item due to the protrusion through the skin/muscles. The furry community will definitely be early adopters.
