Fanuc Picker Robot Gets Turned Up To 11

Writing by Evan Ackerman on Monday, 29 of November , 2010 at 12:42 am

You might remember this Fanuc pick and place robot from a post last year:

Not bad, right? Well, since then someone’s gone and cranked it up to nutso:

Wow. Good thing sorting Skittles isn’t a real job, or I’d be looking at unemployment right now.

I remember a video a while back where a robot was stacking pancakes at about the same speed. If I could get a job where all I had to do was monitor stacking or sorting bots, I’d have it made!

As a child I dreamed of a robot like this that could be used to collect recyclables out of landfills and also be used to separate organic matter for composting.

I can envision a million positive uses for this bot!
